For the last ten years, Tony Heming has worked in the Commercial Professional team of a National Consultancy primarily concentrating on Valuation and Landlord & Tenant work, for a whole host of clients, including all the major lending institutions, pension funds, local Diocese and ecclesiastical groups, local authorities, charitable trusts, owner occupiers, property developers and investors. Tony has specialist areas of experience in the valuation of doctor’s surgeries, ecclesiastical property and educational establishments, which include partnership valuations, notional rent assessments, academies, school rent reviews and lease renewals. |
Tony is familiar with the working of Diocesan schools, the requirements under the various education acts for vesting and the unique nature of ecclesiastical Faculties. Tony is experienced in undertaking Charity Act reports and is therefore familiar with section 119 of The Charities Act 2011 and the previous section 36. Tony also has experience of valuation for expert witness purposes both for matrimonial disputes and litigation, most recently giving opinion at the High Court in London.
Other experience includes asset valuations, inheritance tax valuations, Sipp/SASS valuations for pension fund purposes and Leasehold Enfranchisement Act valuations. Acting for a number of clients, Tony has both disposed of and acquired property, undertaken lease renewals and rent reviews and advised on contentious lease issues.
Tony is a married family man with two children and lives locally. Tony is keen to encourage new entrants into the surveying profession and for the last decade has assisted Steve Rea (RICS Regional Training advisor for the South West) in advising graduates on the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). Not only has Tony taken on the role of Supervisor and Counsellor for a number of graduates, he is an APC Doctor and an accredited RICS assessor.
